Forwarding sends a copy of incoming mail to another address; auto-responders reply automatically while you’re away. Both are set up in Plesk in under a minute.

Set Up Forwarding

  1. Log in to Plesk and go to Mail.
  2. Click the email address you want to forward from.
  3. Open the Forwarding tab and switch on forwarding.
  4. Enter the destination address(es). Decide whether to keep a copy in the original mailbox — turn it off only if you’re sure.
  5. Save.

Set Up an Auto-Responder (Vacation Message)

  1. Open the same email address in Mail.
  2. Go to the Auto-Reply tab and enable it.
  3. Write your subject and message — e.g. “I’m out of office until Monday, for urgent matters contact…”
  4. Set start/end dates if available, then save.

Prefer an Alias Instead?

If you just want sales@yourdomain.com to deliver into your own mailbox, add it as an alias on your address rather than creating a separate mailbox — no extra storage used, and mail lands in one place.

Forwarding to external providers (Gmail etc.) works fine — just remember replies will come from that account unless you also configure “send as” there.
